DryCape (drycape.co.za) is a free matching and introduction service that connects Cape Town homeowners with independent, vetted local damp-proofing and waterproofing specialists. When you submit the enquiry form we collect the details you give us: your name, your phone number, your email address (if you provide it), your suburb, the service you need, your property type and budget (optional), your timeline, and the description of your problem. We also record the date and time of your enquiry and basic technical information such as your IP address, for security and to prevent abuse.
We collect this information for one purpose: to match your enquiry with a single suitable local specialist so they can contact you with a free, no-obligation quote. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
We pass your enquiry to ONE vetted specialist who covers your suburb and handles your type of job, so that they can contact you about a quote. That specialist is an independent business and becomes responsible for the information once we share it with them. We do NOT sell your details, and we do NOT share your enquiry with multiple companies. We may use trusted service providers (for example our email and hosting providers) to operate the service, under appropriate confidentiality.
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to provide and improve the service and to handle any query or dispute, and no longer than is reasonably necessary. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see your rights below).
Your enquiry is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored securely. We limit access to the information and only share what a specialist needs to contact you and prepare a quote.
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to ask us to delete it. You can object to our processing and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@drycape.co.za and we will respond.
DryCape is a simple static site and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store your draft enquiry locally so it is not lost, this stays on your device.
